Africa My Life Foundation was born out of concern for the welfare of children growing up in disadvantaged communities, where poverty, alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy, and drug abuse are rampant.
In these communities, children often lack positive role models or inspiration, leaving them vulnerable to the harsh realities of their environment. The COVID-19 pandemic further exacerbated the situation, as families lost jobs and struggled to make ends meet. As a result, many youths were forced to drop out of school to support their families, often turning to criminal activities to secure basic necessities like food, clothing, and toiletries.
In response to these challenges, Africa My Life Foundation was established with the aim of providing support to these vulnerable children. We started by distributing food hampers to families in need. Recognizing the power of sports as a tool for education and development, we introduced educational programs through sports. Today, we run thriving soccer and netball programs for children aged 6 to 16, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment to learn, grow, and develop their skills. Through these initiatives, we hope to empower the next generation with the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive.
